EXTRA CORPOREAL SHOCKWAVE THERAPY (ESWT) AND TRIGGERPOINT THERAPY:

extracorporale

The focused and radial extracorporeal shockwave therapy allows the treatment of painful tendon and soft tissue inflammations on the movement apparatus.

A shock  wave is an acoustic pressure wave  of extremely short duration. By means of technical procedures, it is possible to run the impact wave either in a targeted manner (focused ) into the depth of the tissue or to allow it to spread superficially (radiating ). The impact wave introduced into the tissue sets its energy when it hits tissue types with different resistance / density (eg bone soft tissue, lime soft tissue). Tissue types with similar acoustic properties as water penetrate the shock wave without damaging influence (skin, musculature, fat, etc.).

Fields of use:

  • Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder (Tendinitis calcarea)
  • Tennis elbow (Epicondylitis humeri radialis)
  • Calcaneal spur fasciitis plantaris
  • Golf bow (Epicondylitis humeri ulnaris)
  • Patellar tendinitis („Jumper knee“)
  • Bursitis trochanterica (mucous membrane inflammation on the hip bone)
  • Achillodynia (inflammation of the Achilles tendon gliding tissue )
  • Supraspinatus tendon syndrome (shoulder tendon disease )
  • Periostitis of the tibia
  • Myofasciale Myofascial pain syndromes (muscle tension disorders , trigger point treatment)
